"Jesse"
is an impressive male. He stands 28 inches at the withers, with
a long proudly arched neck which adds to the impression of size.
He is what a dobermann should be, sound in both mind and body. He
combines substance with elegance, is well balanced, possesses excellent
angulation, good length of upper arm (sadly lacking in many dobermanns
to-day) and a smooth, effortless, free reaching, driving movement.
He definitely has the "look of eagles" and the arrogance
and ring presence to go with it!
One dobermann
exhibitor, seeing him for the first time recently said "he
gave her goose bumps when he ran into the ring." Mrs Judith
Brown (USA) who gave him RUBISS at a recent breed specialty, described
him as :"A slightly larger (than her BIS winner) dog, beautiful
sloping topline, plenty of forechest, good markings."
However,
as is the case with all breeds, "Jesse" does not appeal
to every judge. For those to whom moderation is the key he is just
"too much." Others prefer "level" toplines.
Nevertheless, his achievements speak for themselves, and the majority
of judges both locally and from overseas, including New Zealand,
Canada, the United States of America, South East Asia
and South Africa
have found him to their liking.

Now four years
of age, "Jesse" was sired by Am Ch BJF The Comedy of Errors
(Imp USA). His dam, Auslander Let's Elope has never been shown because
of an unfortunate injury - two broken toes, done who knows how!.
She is a "Sars" daughter and full sister to the three
Grand Champions, Hot Aphrodite, Light Fingers and Gloom Chaser.

"Jesse"
was not exhibited until he was twelve months old, and went BIG at
his very first show in October 1998. He
attained his Grand Championship title on February 26th 2000
after less than eighteen months in the ring and coincident with
his 10th BIS All Breeds win. He is currently the youngest
dobermann to attain the title of Australian
Grand Champion, winning the majority of the requisite
1000 points prior to the introduction of Best of Breed points, a
system which came into effect at the beginning of the year 2000.
In 1999 and
again in 2000 "Jesse" was the No 1 winning dobermann and
ranked in the top 5 Utility Group winners nationally (National Dog
Magazine National Dog Of the Year Quest ). In 2000 "Jesse"
achieved the position of No 19 All Breeds Nationally. He was also
invited to the Sutherland Shire All Breeds Kennel Club Contest of
Champions in 1999 and again in 2000. Although only shown sparingly
since then, he has amassed a total of 43 BIS/RUBIS wins at Championship
shows to date.
"Jesse"
has been DNA tested and shown to be a vWD Carrier. Thyroid normal.
