Basically retired at the end of 2002, (just five years of age) "Jesse" was only shown sparingly in 2003. By year end Grand Ch Auslander Dark Jester now has 27 Best In Show and 16 Runner Up to Best In Show wins at Championship Shows to his credit,
and yet another (his fifth) Royal Best Of Breed win.

Of these, "Sultan" was sired by Am Ch BJF The Comedy of Errors (Imp USA) out of Grand Ch Dobeherr Dark'N'Sassy. "Solo", "Morgan", "Cash" "Neera" and "Kayo"are littermates sired by Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (Imp USA) out of Ch Auslander Chantilly Lace.

 

 

 

 

February 2nd, 2003
The year started on a high note, wirth "Jesse" winning his fifteenth RUBIS on Sunday at the Sapphire Coast Kennel Clubs double weekend, under dobermann specialist and All Breeds judge, Mrs S Barrett (New Zealand). This gives him a total of 41 BIS/RUBIS wins! BIS both days was another top winning Grand Champion, the Dalmatian bitch, Grand Ch Swiftgait InTheFastLane, bred by Ron & Dianne Besoff and handled by co-owner Glen Vernon. Not to be outdone, "Solo" took out RUBOB both days and Puppy In Group on Sunday.

February 8th & 9th, 2003
Well, the dobermanns didn't fare too badly at the Corowa Show Society & Kennel Club double Championship Show weekend. "Kayo", Auslander Living Doll, went BOB and Puppy In Group on Saturday under Miss B Daines (NSW). While "Cash", Auslander Man In Black, took the honours on Sunday under Mr M LeCussan (NSW) and surpassed his sister by also going Best Puppy In Show!

February 16th, 2003
Dieter left "Jesse" at home and took "Solo" out on his own to-day. He went BOB from the Puppy Class over 4 other dobermanns and then took out his first Runner Up To Best In Group under Mrs J Smith (NSW), at an over 600 entry show at Gunning.

February 23rd, 2003
Another new Auslander Champion and the last of "Sarsy's" pups to gain his title - making her the dam of three Grand Champions and six Champions. Owned and exhibited by Alan Sargent, Ch Auslander Sultan OfSwing did so in style, taking out Best Of Breed and Runner Up In Group under Mrs B Stepkovitch (NSW).

Not to be outdone, Auslander Living Doll, owned and handled by Peter Williams, went Best Puppy In Show under Mrs H Cramer (NSW) who described her to Peter as "an exciting young bitch." "Kayo" is now one of four puppies from the litter sired by Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (imp USA) who number Class In Show, In Group and BOB wins amongst their achievements, and all are well on their way to their title.

 

 

March 15th, 2003
The first of my Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (Imp USA) sired pups to hit the BIG time did so to-day. "Solo", Auslander Solitary Man, took out his very first Best In Group win under Mr H Lawrence (NSW) and then went Junior In Show under Mr R F Marshall (NSW). The win gave "Solo" 52 points.

March 22nd, 2003
Down in Tasmania, Auslander Disco Queen, "Morgan", had a day out at Brighton. Under Dr Glad Cowie (ACT) she went BOB and JIG and then was awarded Junior in Show by Bill Ranie (ACT) . Morgan is now on 59 points.

Ken & Narelle have also added a little red and rust male to their kennels, Auslander Reddy Or Not, from the litter sired by "Jesse" out of "Misty".



 

April 5th, 2003
"Solo" took out yet another BOB to-day at Wangaratta Kennel & Obedience Club's Championship Show, under South Australian judge Mr R Cleland, giving him 75 points toward his Championship title.
At Launceston, litter sister "Morgan", Auslander Disco Queen, went BOB, then took out RUBIG and Australian Bred In Group under NSW All Breeds judge, Mr H Gent.
"Cleo" ("Jesse's" little red & rust daughter, registered name Auslander Red Alert), started off her show career at just over three months of age with a Baby Puppy in Group win at Wangaratta, beating an older bitch and her litter brother in the Breed.

April 6th, 2003
Both "Morgan" and "Solo" again took out BOB
at their respective shows. The judge in Launceston was Victorian All Breeds judge, Mr N Wenker.
"Morgan" picked up sixteen points over the two days. The BOB to-day at Benalla Kennel Club's Championship Show gave "Solo" 87 points. He then went RUBIG and Junior In Group under South Australian All Breeds judge Mr D Johnson. After their big day on Saturday, the babies stayed at home.

 

 

 

Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2003
The Dobermann Club of NSW held it's Annual Parade and a Championship Show. The Parade had an entry of 50 and "Solo", now just over twelve months of age, won BEST IN PARADE under New South Wales judge, Mr Don Hunter. I received my very first "Breeder of Best" at a Dobermann breed show!

Anzac Day, April 25th
Another Auslander Champion! "Solo" went BOB and gained his title at Gunnedah under Victorian judge, Mr Tony Syme, at exactly thirteen months of age. Congratulations Dieter & CH AUSLANDER SOLITARY MAN. He makes the 5th Champion titled from litters sired by "Chase" - Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (Imp USA) and "Sarsy's" 4th Champion grandkid carrying the Auslander prefix.

April 26th & 27th.
"Morgan " took out Best Of Breed in Tassie under Mrs Margaret Giles (NSW) giving her 90 points. Looks like she is going to be "Chase's" 6th Australian Champion! "Jesse's" son, little "Domossi", took out Baby Puppy in Group on successive days, giving him a Class in Group win on every one of his three outings.

The first of the "Jesse"/"Misty" litter went In Show to-day! Little "Rameses" took out Best Baby Puppy In Show at Albury under All Breeds judge Dr G Cowie (Victoria)

May 14th & 16th
BLACK, BLACK, BLACKk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two wondeful bitches gone in the space of two days! My beautiful llittle sweetheart, "Sars", Grand Ch Dobeherr Dark and Sassy, whom I miss terribly, on Wednesday 14th and her lovely daughter, "Jazz", the" razzle dazzler", Grand Ch Dobeherr Hot Aphrodite, on the Friday! Mere words simply can not express the way I feel! Absolutely and totally, utterly the worst week of my entire life!

May 17th, 2003
"Morgan" was the second "Sars" grandchild from the litter sired by Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin to obtain her Championship title. She went BOB and Junior in Group under Mrs Y Sydenham-Clarke (Victoria). making her CH AUSLANDER DISCO QUEEN. Congratulations to her owner , Ken Hammond! On the same day,,her great grandson, little "Domossi" went Baby Puppy of Breed. She lives on in my heart and in her progeny!

July 19th & 20th
A real red letter weekend! Dieter was up at Katherine in the NorthernTerritory with "Jesse" and "Neera" an
d Peter & Jan took "Kayo" off to Forbes for the RNSWCC Western Region double.
"Kayo" won the Challenge at Forbes both days, was RUBOB on Saturday, then went BOB and BIG on Sunday under Mrs J Kirin (NSW) and Junior In Show under Mrs L Stevens. Only four points away from her Championsghip title!
"Jesse" went BOB and BIG at both shows, then took out his 27th BIS under Mr D Palmer (Qld) at the NACA Championship Show. "Neera" won the Challenge and went RUBOB at both, and Australian Bred in Group under Mrs J Sewell (WA)

July 26th & 27th
At Harden Murrumburrah, "Kayo" won BOB both days making her CH AUSLANDER LIVING DOLL on Saturday under Mrs V Morrow (NSW) and giving her a total of 51 points over the last two weekends. She makes the third of t"Sars's" grandchildren sired by Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (Imp USA) to obtain their Championship title and another two, "Cash" (on 63 points after the weekend) and"Neera" are both well over half way.

 

August 2nd
"Jesse" went BIG at both of the two Darwin Expo Shows to-day and Runner Up to Best In Show at one, under judge Mrs D Clark (NZ), giving him his 16th RUBIS - and a total of 43 BIS/RUBIS wins at Championship shows. "Neera" went Challenge Bitch at one and Reserve Challenge at the other.

August 11th
"Jesse" took out his fifth Royal Best Of Breed to-day at the Brisbane Royal undetr South African All Breeds judge, Mr Tony Williams.

September 3rd
Dieter took "Neera" to West Wyalong, entering under Mrs R Lane (ACT). However she was unable to come and the replacement judge, Mr David Strachan (ACT), awarded "Neera" BOB and RUBIG. She is now on 39 points.

September 6th
At Narrandera, "Kayo" took out BOB, then went RUBIG and Junior in Show under Mrs D Hyde (ACT).

 

September 20th
At Ardlethan, "Jesse" won BIG under Mrs Rhonda Ralphs (NSW) and Best Open In Show under Mrs Susan Brown (NSW). "Neera" won the Bitch Challenge and RUBOB.

September 29th
At Young, "Cash" took out his first Best In Group win, under Mr T Dixon (NSW). Only five points to go now for bis Championship title.

October 4th
"Cash" won BOB under Mrs Beryl Hession (NSW) at Culcairn, giving him his Championship title, then proceeded to take out Best In Group, followed by Intermediate in Show, so he really finished in style! Owned by Ern Appleby and handled by Ashely Manton, CH AUSLANDER MAN IN BLACK, now joins his three already titled littermates as both an Australian Champion and a BIG winner

 

October 11th
At Illabo, "Neera" attained her Championship title to-day, the fifth of the Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (Imp USA): Ch Auslander Chantilly Lace litter, to do so - now CH AUSLANDER ULTRA VIOLET . "Solo" took out his second BIG and then Intermediate in Show, under Mrs June Weston (ACT).

October 15th
A near disaster! Luckily I was sitting out on the front verandah at the time and saw what had happened almost immediately - "QT" in the process of killing a brown snake, one of our deadliest! By the time I got her to the vet some 20 minutes away, breaking all speed limits, she had totally collapsed. They started anti-venine immediately and thankfully she pulled through and was able to come home after 48 hours.

October 18th
"Cash" won BOB and then RUBIG under Mrs C Murray (NSW) at The Rock.

November 1st
""Neera" won Best Of Breed and Australian Bred In Group under Mrs C Rafton (NSW) at the Albury Show Society's Championship All Breeds show.

 

November 2nd
"Cash" took out Best of Breed, then went Runner Up Best In Group under Mr W Ranie (ACT) and was also awarded Best Australian Bred in Show by Mrs C Rafton at the show held by the Albury & Border Kennel & Training Club. At the same show,"Jesse's" son "Czarn", handled by Colin Robinson, won Best Puppy of Breed and then was awarded Best Puppy In Group by Mr Ranie.

November 8th
At Holbrook to-day, "Cleo" gained the first points toward her title and was awarded Best Puppy In Group by Mr H Gent (NSW).

November 21st, 22nd & 23rd
At the NSW Specialty on Friday, "Kayo" went fourth in the Intermedfiate Class under Bill Shelton (USA). In his critique he commented "This is a very athletic bitch. Very good in the circle, good reach and drive, very powerful. A compact, good size and moderate sized bitch, with a good croup and tail, well let down hock, very strong in lower stifle. Good arched feet, good coat colour and markings, good high ear set. Her eyes could be a little more almond shaped, good breadth and fill."
On Saturday she won the Intermediate Class at the Spring Fair and on Sunday "Neera" won the Australian Bred Class.
