"Sars" is a dominant Black (Type 1), DNA tested VWD Clear,
a granddaughter of Shinya's A Boy Named Sue (Imp USA) and, through
the famous Australian bred dog, Champion Elmaro All Fire, her pedigree
can be traced back to other USA imports Ebonaires Bravo and Jemoel's
Michael von Warlock. Through UK imports, the famous Am Ch Rancho Dobes
Storm is also represented. Her grand-dam, Ch Dobeherr Disco Desire
was litter sister to the all time top winning dobermann in Australia,
Ch Dobeherr Disco Dolly who had 45 All Breeds Best In Show awards,
22 RUBIS wins, 6 Best In Specialty Show wins and 6 RUBISS plus BIS
at the Utility & Non-Sporting Championship Show, a record which
has never yet been equaled in this country.
"Sars"
won her first Best In Show from the Puppy Class at eleven months of
age and attained her Championship title before eighteen months of
age. She performed consistently well at Breed Specialties, and was
described in 1990 by Judy Doniere (USA) at her very first Specialty
as "A beautiful, flashy bitch." |
|
In
1992 Ray Carlisle (USA) commented "A quality bitch; good flow
in of neck to topline". Under Carol Petruzzo (USA) in 1994, she
won Reserve Challenge Bitch and Best Open In Show; at the 8th Dobermann
National in 1996, at seven years of age, Betty Leininger (USA) gave
her a Merit award in the Open Class .
During the early nineties, competition amongst Dobermann bitches in
the Sydney area was fierce, as three lovely bitches, Ch Dobeherr Disco
Dolly, Ch Parima The Zena and Ch Alldobe Setz The Style dominated
the scene, all with excellent handlers. But In 1993 and 1994, handled
by Gordon Derrick and then mainly by Lorraine Macdonald, "Sars" became
the bitch to beat at Sydney shows, winning over 700 Challenge points
during those two years. In
1994 she had the honour of being the No 1 Dobermann in Australia
and New Zealand and the top Bitch (All Breeds) in New South Wales.
(PEDIGREE /OZ DOG Australasian Show Dog of the Year - a competition
which at that time covered ALL shows in Australia not just PEDIGREE
sponsored shows). She retired from the
show scene at the end of 1994, aged just over five years, and since
then has only been entered in Breed specialties. |
