In all,
"Sars" had three litters. To date her offspring
include 3 Australian Grand Champions,
all multi BIS All Breeds winners and two of them major Breed Specialty
winners, and 6 Champions, with more yet to come.
Her grand
children are also making their presence felt, with the young male,
Grand Champion Auslander Dark Jester probably being the most outstanding.
Two other strongly performing grand children are the bitch Grand
Ch Dobeherr Rebel Star, already a Specialty Show winner, and the
dog, Ch Dobeherr Grande Kaiser.
As
I was working full time in a demanding job, had done nothing about
registering a kennel prefix and could not devote the time I felt
was necessary to raising a litter, I transferred "Sars" back to
her breeders for her first litter, payment being pick bitch and
input into naming the puppies.

From this, the
"Cocktail" litter, nine
puppies were whelped on 23.11.92. Of these four went
on to become Champions, with two of them subsequently achieving
the title of Grand Champion.
These were the bitches, the top winning Grand
Champion Dobeherr Hot Aphrodite, Ch
Dobeherr Fallen Angel and the males Grand
Champion Dobeherr Gloom Chaser and Champion
Dobeherr Kir Royale.
Both Hot Aphrodite
and Gloom Chaser are multi BIS and major Breed Specialty winners.
The sire
was Ch Dobeherr Bright N Early,
owned by Bryce and Mary Mearns of Kurtaveys Kennels.

This, the "Melbourne
Cup winners" litter, was a repeat mating with Ch
Dobeherr Bright N Early as sire, so the five puppies
are full sisters/brothers to multi BIS
and BISS winning Grand Champions Hot Aphrodite and
Gloom Chaser. I kept a dog and two bitches to show.
Unfortunately
one bitch, Auslander Let's Elope ("Elle"), broke two toes and has
never been shown, but has proven herself to be an exceptionally
good brood bitch.
Of the other
two, both obtained their Championship titles at an early age, the
bitch going on to become a Grand Champion at just 3 years of age.
These were the dog Ch Auslander Lord Fury
and the bitch Grand Champion Auslander
Light Fingers, WAC. The litter was whelped on the 1st
February, 1995.

Whelped on
the 2nd July 1998, this last litter was sired by Am
Ch BJF The Comedy of Errors (Imp USA) and
produced four puppies. This mating provided the
opportunity for future line breeding, as I had already mated the
sire "Derek"
to Auslander
Let's Elope, "Sars's" daughter from her second litter.
Of these grandchildren
I had kept one male "Jesse";
although at this stage not yet in the show ring, he was already
showing lots of promise. Neither of the matings with "Derek" to
mother and daughter were really dramatic outcrosses as there is
some common ancestry, through Cabra's Dark And Debonaire and litter
sisters Shinya's Pillow Talk and Shinya's Kiss And Tell. Out of
this litter, I again kept a dog and a bitch,
Ch Auslander Wired ForSound and Ch
Auslander Chantilly Lace.
A second dog, Auslander Sultan Of Swing
went to a show home in Victoria and is jointly owned by me with
Dr Alan Sargent. "Sultan" is currently well on the way
to obtaining his title - the only constraint being the demands
of Alan's job which keeps him working most weekends.

At
this stage, the only "Sars" daughter I have had a litter
from is "Elle" (Auslander
Let's Elope) although Mick and Laurel Wicks have had
a number of litters from Ch
Dobeherr Fallen Angel.
"Elle's" first litter was sired by Am
Ch BJF The Comedy of Errors (Imp USA), whom I later used
as sire of "Sars's" third and last litter.
Four male puppies
were whelped by caesarian section on 23.9.97, of which I kept one
- "Jesse" - and in the end, that was all anyone needed!
He went on to become Grand Ch. Auslander
Dark Jester, multi BIS Winner, number one Dobermann nationally
in 1999 and 2000, Ranked No 19 All Breeds in 2000, multi - Royal
Best of Breed winner and Royal BIS Winner, plus a strong performer
at the few breed specialties we have managed to attend, taking out
RUBIS in Sydney, 2000.

The litter,
whelped on 26.11.99, was sired by Ch Auslander
Wired ForSound, a
black and tan male, certified vWD
Clear, who had already sired a litter of nine puppies.
This was a half-brother/half-sister
mating done specifically as a close line breeding on "Sars";
sire and dam being her offspring from different sires. This
time "Elle" produced only two puppies, both males! She
is yet to produce a daughter! I kept them both,
Auslander Tiger Rag and Auslander
Mood Indigo. Both have been DNA vWD tested by VetGen
and one certified as Clear, the other as a Carrier.
So far both
boys have performed well in the ring, and Auslander Tiger Rag recently
went Best In Group on consecutive days after winning his first Challenge
and Best Of Breed - in "Jesse's" absence of course!
